Increase in Export Orders in 2026; Heavy Machinery Industry Leads High-End Manufacturing Going Global

Recently, the reporter learned from CITIC Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. that the enterprise's self-developed export project, the 60-ton feed chute trailer, successfully completed the whole machine trial run at its headquarters in Luoyang, Henan, and all performance indicators met the design standards. The equipment achieved 100% localization, successfully breaking the long-term monopoly of similar foreign products, and has become another benchmark achievement for China's heavy machinery high-end equipment going global. A total of two feed chute trailers will be exported for application in Australian gold mines, mainly undertaking key operational tasks such as lining replacement for large semi-autogenous mills and ball mills.

As a segmented breakthrough in the field of mining machinery, this achievement precisely fits the market demand under the current global mining recovery and is also a vivid epitome of the "stable quantity and improved quality" of China's heavy machinery industry exports. Data from the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association shows that from January to February 2026, the total import and export volume of China's heavy machinery industry reached 8.872 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 27.18%; of which the export volume was 8.382 billion US dollars, a significant year-on-year increase of 29.39%, the trade surplus expanded to 7.955 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 31.72%, and the industry's going global showed a good trend of stable quantity and improved quality. Looking at segmented fields, exports of mining machinery soared by 61.85% year-on-year, and material handling machinery increased by 28.83%, becoming the core driving force for pulling industry exports; although exports of metallurgical machinery decreased slightly by 6.25% year-on-year, the proportion of high-end product exports steadily increased.

From single equipment to full-process services, entering the first quarter, the industry's high-growth momentum continued. Industry leaders such as China First Heavy Industries, Sinomach Heavy Equipment Group, CITIC Heavy Industries, Taiyuan Heavy Industry, Dalian Heavy Industry, and Northern Heavy Industries have seized the opportunities of global mining recovery and the deepening of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and the pace of overseas market exploration has continued to accelerate, with outstanding export performance.
