I. Event Overview
Time: March 5 – 6, 2025 (2 Days)
Venue: Jakarta Convention Center, Indonesia
Organizer: Asia-Pacific Industrial Manufacturing Association (APIMA)
Supporting Organization: Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia
II. Event Background
The year 2025 marks the inaugural planning year for the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and the first full year of Indonesia's tenure as ASEAN Chair. The Indonesian government is vigorously advancing the "Making Indonesia 4.0" initiative, aiming to transform the nation from a resource exporter to a regional manufacturing powerhouse through tax incentives and import substitution policies.
However, ASEAN Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) face dual bottlenecks of funding and technology, often summarized as "daring not to transform" and "not knowing how to transform." Seizing this opportunity, APIMA is hosting this specialized forum in Jakarta to bridge the gap between "technology providers" and "local ASEAN manufacturing demand," implementing a regional industrial empowerment plan.
III. Core Agenda
Indonesia’s "Golden Indonesia 2045" and Manufacturing Blueprint:
Senior officials from the Ministry of Industry will decode the newly issued Import Substitution List (TKDN) requirements and the super tax deduction policies for smart factories in 2025.
Low-Cost Digitalization Pathways for SMEs:
Exploring how to achieve production line transparency without replacing entire equipment sets, utilizing retrofitted sensors, edge computing, and lightweight MES systems.
Launch of the APIMA "Lighthouse Navigator Program": Selecting 20 ASEAN SMEs to receive complimentary digital diagnostic services and transformation proposals.
Human-Machine Collaboration & Future Workforce:
Real-world applications of industrial robots (cobots) in the electronics and textile & apparel sectors.
Addressing skill gaps driven by automation: Introducing the joint Micro-credential training system launched by APIMA and the ASEAN University Network (AUN).
